About
During his two decades in journalism Terry covered the police beat, the arts,
entertainment, and restaurant scene, social services, and education – and
real estate. He's also a musician and the author of three books of true crime
stories, and occasional contributor to various other publications around town.
Terry has always been an architecture buff and loves the rich variety of
building styles in Key West – as well as the stories they hide within their
weather-beaten walls. His interest in the town's historic past, and commitment
to the zeitgeist of Key West's flamboyant and fun-loving present, led him to
follow his father, local real estate broker Walter Schmida, into the real estate
business.
