Darlene Alferes, a native of Massachusetts, holds broker licenses in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. She relocated to the Lower Keys four years ago and is now a full-time agent at our Marathon and Big Pine offices. Darlene began her real estate career in 1991 with Century 21 before her parents opened their own family real estate business, Alferes Realty, Inc., in 1993. After her parents retired, Darlene managed the business for seven years until it merged with a larger multi-location firm, Amaral & Associates Real Estate, where she managed their New Bedford, MA, office for three years. With 33 years of expertise in real estate, including training, management, and a deep understanding of coastal communities, Darlene is a valuable addition to the growing Berkshire Hathaway family.
